Posted a new Comment on https://www.wcia.org.uk/peace-heritage/womens-peace-petition/ The Women's Peace Petition of Wales to the Women of America was a 7-mile long petition presented to President Coolidge in 1923. The petition was signed by around 60% of the women in Wales, appealing to the women of America to pressurize Coolidge to join the League of Nations. This aimed to prevent any future World Wars. I'm researching the Local Organisers for Denbighshire (the area where I live) who collected signatures. Maybe someone reading this will have a relative or friend who might have been involved, or remembers signing it? The Petition is in the Smithsonian Institute, Washington. In 2023 it is hoped a Celebration of the petition will take place. Please share this post! :
